When you see them jumping into that enormous mud puddle, and you think "Oh no, it's brand new" or "I just changed them", that's okay. That's exactly what childhood looks like.
Those grass-stained knees, chocolate-smudged cheeks, and paint-splattered sleeves? They're the stories they'll carry with them. GINGI pieces are made to be lived in, not kept on a shelf.
But because we craft each garment to last, with natural fabrics, artisan stitching, and love in every seam, we want to help you care for them properly. So they stay beautiful enough to pass down, season after season.
Act fast, treat gently, and always test on a hidden area first. Blot, never rub, and rinse with cold water before washing.

Let mud dry completely, then brush off excess. Pre-treat with a paste of baking soda and cold water for 30 minutes. For grass, dab with white vinegar diluted 1:1 with water before washing at 30°C.
Scrape off excess with a spoon. Rinse the back of the fabric with cold running water. Apply a drop of mild dish soap, gently work in, leave 10 minutes, then wash cold. Never use hot water, it sets cocoa stains.
Flush with cold water immediately. Pour boiling water through the stain from the reverse side (adults only). For stubborn marks, soak in cold water with a splash of white vinegar for 30 minutes before washing.
Scrape off hardened wax with a blunt knife. Place paper towels above and below, press with a warm (not hot) iron so wax transfers to paper. Pre-treat remaining colour with mild dish soap, then wash as normal.
Blot, don't rub. Dab with rubbing alcohol or hand sanitiser on a cotton pad, working from outside in. Rinse cold. For water-based markers, cold water and detergent usually work. Repeat if needed before drying.
Scrape off wet paint gently. Rinse the back of the fabric under cold running water. Soak in cold water with mild detergent for 1 hour. Wash at 30°C. For dried paint, soak overnight in cold water first.
Blot excess with a paper towel. Cover with cornflour or talcum powder for 30 minutes to absorb oil. Brush off, apply mild dish soap directly, work in gently, leave 15 minutes, then wash at 30°C.
Always use cold water. Hot water sets protein stains permanently. Rinse immediately under cold running water. Soak in cold salted water (1 tbsp salt per litre) for 30 minutes, then wash at 30°C with mild detergent.
Rinse with cold water. Pre-treat with enzyme-free mild detergent (enzymes can set protein stains). Soak 30 minutes in cold water, then wash at 30°C. Check before drying and repeat if any mark remains.
Scrape off solids first. Rinse cold. Soak in cold water with 1 tbsp bicarbonate of soda for 30 minutes to neutralise odour. Wash at 30°C. Air dry. If smell persists, soak again before storing.
Shake off dry sand and brush away dirt outdoors. Pre-soak in cold water with a small amount of white vinegar for 20 minutes. Wash at 30°C. For playground stains, a soft nail brush helps on sturdy cotton.
Blot immediately, don't rub. Flush with cold water from the back. Pre-treat with mild detergent, soak 15 minutes. For bright dyes like berry or beetroot, add a splash of white vinegar to the soak water.
